Jeannotte Full-time equivalent (FTE) teachers: Arts and Humanities = 14.5 Math/Science/Technology = 15.5 Spanish = 5 Wellness = 3 Directed Studies/Special Education – 1 Total = 39 FTE teachers for 350 students (plus a coordinator of Student Services, a Technology Coordinator, a 0.5 FTE Counselor, a 0.6 FTE Transition Counselor, and a 0.5 FTE Librarian) 2000 - 2001 Student/Teacher Ratio = 9:1Of the 62 staff members employed at the Parker School and Teachers Center during the 2000-2001 school year, 44 will be returning to Parker for the 2001 – 2002 school year. One staff member of the Teachers Center will be leaving to attend graduate school. Of the teachers who will not be returning, one is taking a year leave of absence, two are staying home with new babies, three will be attending graduate school and one is entering medical school. Eight teachers have accepted positions in other school districts and one has been granted a Commonwealth charter to found the North Central Charter Essential School. One teacher will be traveling for part of the coming year but hopes to return to Parker. Another is looking for a position away from education.
