Janet Woodward
Division 1 AH
Janet joins Parker last year, though she has been teaching for more than thirty years.  Some of those experiences include teaching grades 2-8 and working as a museum teacher at Old Sturbridge Village.  Originally from "the quiet corner" of northeastern Connecticut, Janet graduated from UConn and the University of Virginia, though she feels that most of her learning has come from her life as a teacher, parent and farmer.  She lives on Indian Head Farm in Berlin with her husband, two sons, two oxen and two cats.  She enjoys growing things, music, traditional crafts, and teaching.  Janet comes to Parker feeling that she has found kindred spirits here who will help her to keep growing as a teacher and as a person.  She is looking forward to watching kids grow in independence and discover their strengths and what they value.
